Ogle These Goggles

Today’s award for cutest scientific achievement might need to go to Eric Gutierrez for developing these sporty little eye pieces for Obi, a parrotlet used for research the aerodynamics of flight. Protected by these goggles, Obi is able to fly through a web of lasers allowing us to drastically improve our models understanding the lift force created by flapping wings.

This is vastly more adorable than when we needed to restrict the vision of ants. We’re always torturing poor little ants though, like when we put them on stilts for our own enjoyment.
