This strikes me as such a major issue with the current state of streaming services. I talk to a surprising number of people who are stuck finding a way to replace a dvd player so they can keep playing the DVDs sent from Netflix simply because there's no way to stream them. At this point it legitimately seems like no one is interested in even getting the most popular films available through a streaming service.
Who would've ever thought we'd be pinning for the blockbuster days as a time when you had access to good old movies? It was sad enough as the art house movie rental shop got replaced by the "guaranteed to have the latest hits" concept. Now its like a huge portion of our history is just being erased.
