Graphing Money

This is an absolute must view. We frequently talk about money and how many billions of dollars corporations are valued at or how many trillions of dollars a country produces a year, but its difficult to comprehend how these numbers relate to one another.

We know that we have a lot of debt, but its helpful to see how it relates to the total amount of physical monies and theoretical valuations.

We hear the word derivatives thrown around occasionally, and we all get kind of quiet feeling left out of the conversation that we can't comprehend. Turns out, basically no one on earth understands what's going on with derivatives. People know how to buy and sell them, obviously, but their relative value clearly meaningless in relation to the world's economy. This graph highlights this discrepancy from reality perfectly.
