Microsoft is running a new ad campaign "encouraging" women to stick with the STEM field. On the surface, a noble cause. Only, they effectively place all the blame on women needing to just stick in out in a field which actively mistreats women. Monica Byrne does an absolute terrific job of calling out how completely this misidentifies the issues leading to the lack of women working in STEM.
